... during the holidays, it's basically warm red wine with spices, I have yet to try it though. I found out that Germany DOES have egg nog and that was a great discovery. They also have Jaeger Tea...weird? so I have a few more things I must try before the season ends. There is seriously so much food being served that it's impossible to try all of it. They have a lot of spiced nuts and these things they make from mashed potatoes where they basically take some meat and pack mashed potatoes around ...
Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany torilusk... 3 he told me that I needed to go to platform 3 but when I got there there was no signs or any indication that a train was coming at all so I went back into the station to read the schedule. He followed me down there, grabbed my arm and pulled me back up only to discover the same thing I had. Fortunately, he was right and the train did come after a few minutes.
Upon boarding train #3 I lost my helpful friend. I realized ...

Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany cariverga... lot of fish and a lot of bread. Friday nights are a very important night for traditional Jews, we celebrate Shabbat which means that we have dinner as a family if guests are not here, if guests are here they eat with the family and I usually do my own thing. Before dinner is a song/prayer, then they wash their hands in a certain ritual, then they are silent, another blessing, then bread and "wine". There is ALWAYS fish on this night.

... errors, weird tenses, and probably long pauses between entries as India is a developing country and finding internet cafes is a tricky business. Not to mention I am technically challenged and this is my first experience with a blog. Please forgive these errors and delays and thank you for taking enough interest to check it out.
So thanks.

Tonight I got to participate, for the first time, in the Shavat meal ceremony. Definitely was a very interesting experience, but pretty cool. The family stayed home and had no guests so it was the first time I've actually been able to have a sit down dinner with the family since the day I got here. Oded and I actually got into a rather lengthy ...
From the beginning, it was agreat experience: I left my mobile
(business and private cell phone) at home not to be disturbed during my
trip.
In the train travelling to the airport, I met an older couplr, which told me a lot about Egypt - a good start to be informed...
... beers. There were also electric trolleys, but the line for them was huge and they were going off stuffed to the gills. The helpful station announcer and another aide suggested the bus as a better option. Oops. Our bus was packed tighter than an overweight tween in a halter and hiphuggers. To get the doors closed, a guy in an orange vest has to hold the bars on both sides of the door and use his chest to get the last couple of guys far enough in the ...
Gelsenkirchen, Germany cadkinsca... on inside an inflatable field! Of course the guys were intrigued. Then we saw a few Czechs who just begged for a picture with Jess and me (we were practically the only women in the town), so we obliged and then started talking. The guys challenged them to the mini soccer game, 3v3, losers buy. It got pretty ugly! One of the guys fell and scraped his hand open and left a nice streak of blood on Jim's white USA jersey :( Violent, I tell you. Well, the Czechs won, 3 ...
