6 weeks left here in benidorm before a flying visit back home to see everyone then im off to Thailand, Oz and Fiji for a few months travelling.
Currently loving the 'dorm, its probably the most random and bizzare place to rep and although its a bit quiet at the moment having amazing nights out with the rest of the fantastic team we have here, still time to come and see me!!!
... getting ourselves into, we embarked on the hike with just our "flippy-floppies". The start of the hike was nothing more than a walk in the park with a nice stone path that led us into a manmade tunnel. The tunnel was pretty neat, complete with ropes to help guide us in the dark and to avoid bailing on the slick rock. Once out of the tunnel, the path changed ...
Benidorm, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands sofenjon... lucratvie for them in terms of fines (tourists are the worst targets). We've even heard from a number of people, how they are being fined (from $300) for wearing any sort of foot-wear that doesn't have a strap at the back. So ladies ... forget those summer sandals .....
So, with our siestas, our night-time outings and now our scooter....... summer has turned us Spanish.
First of all I can´t believe we actually survived the night. Whats more is that the lizards and cockroaches running around didnt go near me. Thats a good start.
Never see famous people in England , yet you cycle 1500 miles to a supermarket in the middle of Spain you find Tony Robbinson. Amazing. Then we ate big food ...

Looking for a camping spot we noticed a very small crumbling abandoned building. What a great place to sleep. Little bit worrying about the old matress that was there though. Probably a hang out for crack addicts. But waking up to a mental crack head is not as bad as most of our other nights so we went for it.

Bussed to Denia, arriving around 6pm.
Threw our stuff at the hostel (new just 2 weeks old and awesome) then made our way down to the grandstand. The grandstand is 3-sided, with the fourth bordering the wharf and the sea. The guns went off and somewhere in the city the bull run started. We were sitting up on the second top row so could see all the guys running followed by 8 bulls into the stadium. The old ducks behind us were cackling away... dunno ...
... lasting 11hrs. Tom and Harri were both unwell and as it was reasonably flat seas we think it's a tummy bug thing but not too bad. We had not been too impressed by the beaches in Spain so far but as we reached this region the water and the sand started to change. The water is that lovely clear sapphire colour and the sand now clean and golden. One port we tried to stay at La Vila Joiosa had brightly coloured apartments dotting the beach and palms with golden sand it ...
Calpe, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands bellavita... mishaps are the stories you remember and laugh at later. This is so true and was a wonderful reminder to me! I have certainly had a few already on this trip. I am pleasantly surprised by how beautiful Valencia is. Since we arrived on a Sunday, most things were closed. So Scott and I just wandered the streets trying to get our barring. Today we are totally surprised at how different the city is during the week day. Streets that we walked down yesterday, look totally ...
