San Salvador, San Salvador, El Salvador backtobroke... night life" in El Salvador, since I usually never get to experience anything like that. Saturday was filled with even more adventures. Dela and Jenny took us on a canopy tour! It was so fun! We just sailed through the trees! It was super amazing. We went to a town called Apaneca to do the tour. It is about a two hour drive from San Salvador, and the climate is super refreshing! The town has very much preserved its colonial feel, the streets are ...
San Salvador, San Salvador, El Salvador brookehoesli... as there are nice smallish but frequent waves. I am going to have a lesson tomorrow and see if I can improve on my attempts to surf 3 years ago in Mozambique. The water is warm, the sun is hot, the palm trees, that fringe the beach, still and the beach is black(?!). A weird phenomenon in this part of the world, the Pacific beaches have black sand, so my feet resemble granite, coated in sparkling dark sand. There is a huge smile beaming from my face. And as the sun ...
El Tunco, La Libertad, El Salvador hess... because of funding, it is just not possible. Thanks to a generous donation, Trini was able to purchase an industrial oven to make sweet breads to give to the people who attend the AA and NA meetings, but lunch and a snack is all peoplereceive.Because the shelter is closed Thursday through Sunday, Mondays are always the busiest. Most people haven’t had a real meal since Thursday, and there are always fights for who will be the next to receive a ...
San Salvador, San Salvador, El Salvador brookehoesliWell it's Sunday here, and it's been pretty much a lazy day! Every one is either watching a movie, on the computer or sleeping! It's been a great last few days, super busy! Lots of running around! On Friday we took a bus into the commercial district of San Salvador to pay bills and get more medicine for the kids. We went to two different banks on opposite ends of the area and then walked around in the market until we came to a pharmacy ...

San Salvador, San Salvador, El Salvador mere14... Puhuuu... Playa El Tunco, El Salvador cristinita... by me. After we arrived and had lunch Jene, Greg and I decided to ride into town to look around and perhaps get the bikes washed. They are filthy! We parked the bikes in town and started to walk around. A male passenger in a SUV started talking to me in English, as we were sharing stories a smaller male with no shirt on and scars all over his arms chest and back, came over very aggressively and started to talk to me in English, spouting all the ...
Real La Union, El Salvador jdswed... took us to was based, like most other houses and restaurants out here, on a huge verandah area covered with a thatch roofand filled with comfy chairs, hammocks and general places to chill out. Everything is outside - in some hostels even the Tv is outside (just covered with some thatched roofing to protect it from all the storms). Then there was a little pool with water warmer than a bath and then down at the bottom of the garden a gate took us out to the beach. The beach was ...
