Day 3 - October 29th

Today is our first view of Yosemite Valley and during our drive Shirley provided a wonderful history of the park including stories of the Buffalo Soldiers who were some of the first Park Rangers. We viewed the remains of the 1950 fire which is now overgrown with small trees, plants and shrubs, it was Mother Nature at work.

Two hikes were offered, the gentle hike to Mirror Lake and the more challenging hike to Vernal Falls. ...
