... part of a moon landing expedition. Having wandered through the aquarium for hours we drove north up the coast sad to leave Hal, Sharon, Danielle and Matt behind. In the fading light we watched the surf beat the sand strewn verge of Highway 1 until in the dark we arrived at our final stop in Pacifica with 1183.9 miles covered in almost 33 hours of driving through this great state. Exhausted from our whistle stop tour we spent our last day with the Harris elders ...

      ... required to pay anything.

We rounded up the day in a few night bars in the city center, which turned out to be pleasant but not very exciting and pretty expensive on the top of it.

Seeing the schedules, the communications, the mechanics brought me back to the show that ...

... Like a tent for example. So I woke up in the middle of the night, curled up in the front passenger seat to the call of nature. Stepping out of the car, those unpolluted lights of the sky struck me with amazement. So huge, I likened them to the unblemished zits of the night sky.

A very fresh wake-up forced us to get moving quickly so we ventured up the honey coloured hillside a mile or so to gain a magnificent view of the merging layers of fog, sunshine ...

... Not sure if this was because it was a Saturday or if it is always this busy. It was a beautiful place though and the sand on the beach there was white. We are staying in a nice hotel tonight with a seated area, massive bed, terrace and fabulous ensuite. Had a walk in Monterey Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row. Very busy and commercialised. Luckily the area around the hotel is much nicer. Just having a simple relaxing meal tonight in preparation for a 4 hour drive tomorrow to ...
