We're on holiday! So we sleep in a bit before heading to the breakfast room. Here we discover our first waffle machine, which is a bit confusing at first, but we quickly figure out how to use it for freshly cooked waffles! A quick pack when we get back to our room, and looking outside, we can see that the fog is moving in on the town. Hmmm.... …

... as we have been driving through since a couple states ago without much in the way of vegetation. Not many towns on the #1 Hwy that stretch: we passed a town called Harmony, Population 18, in the middle of ranch land, and it had a restaurant! We passed about a million mustangs (the car that is) and felt a bit out of place in the corvette!

... parking garage (so many one way or do not turn streets here), we parked and walked to the Aquarium. It is quite nice - watching the sea otters, really neat jellyfish display, lots of 'local' sea life, huge tanks with sharks and sting rays, touch tanks (but I didn't want to get slimy...shudder). We spent a few hours here, then decided to walk along the main street. Honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed - lots of tacky souvenir shops (and some nice ...

... originally an old fish cannery town. They’re all closed and have been turned into shops, restaurants, bars, and more shops! It has a lot of charm and the streets are right at the water. We ate at Sly McFly’s Lunch and Dinner House. We sat next to the front windows and enjoyed a great meal and lots of people watching. Afterwards Harlan sought out the Harley and candy stores. There was nothing too interesting at the Harley ...
