We're on holiday! So we sleep in a bit before heading to the breakfast room. Here we discover our first waffle machine, which is a bit confusing at first, but we quickly figure out how to use it for freshly cooked waffles! A quick pack when we get back to our room, and looking outside, we can see that the fog is moving in on the town. Hmmm.... …

... We then strolled back to Boudins the bakery for breakfast just as it opened at 8. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and latte whilst Matt went for the scrambled egg with bacon and peppers served in their famous sour dough bread bowl with a portion of potato wedges and a hot chocolate. ... I’m driving a stick over here! Halfway across the intersection is not the time to stop and think if that’s really where you want to go. Squirrels do that, and we know how it ends for them. For the love!) I ended up on Route 1 heading south towards Big Sur. The views along the highway are to die for! I drove down as far as the famous bridge, then headed back.

... the fly. So on we drove to Carmel - famous for its previous Mayor Clint Eastwood among other things. It'a a great town and we really enjoyed wandering downtown and eating at a great bistro, and drinking good California wine.

Today was sunny and breezy along the coast so we needed to pull out our jackets and jeans. Tonight walking around Carmel, we really found it quite cool (in the 50s) compared to our recent Palm Springs 100s.
