... lunch in the Pacific Restaurant, for the first time, back for some more quoits. Temperature rising to a comfortable 20 degC. This time better luck we were partnered with another couple. ... and working every evening when the sun goes down. Dancing til sunrise in nightclubs under the bull-ring. Meeting a Prince from Ghana. Powdering my nose in the ceiling painted Tocador of the Casino. Listening to DJs playing 80s retro accompanied by classical violinists. Being serenaded by a 21-year-old Argentinian in the Plaza de las Flores.

3 foot 9 x 2.5 hours a week is a small price to pay, and I'm no maths teacher.

... also brought a opportunity to overcome yet another challenge. For whatever reason, my inverter has stopped working again, meaning I now have no way to power my laptop, charge my camera or charge my kindle using the 3 pin plug. My lap top and my camera I can cope without, as I can use my phone, but my kindle... Now that's a different story. I'm currently going through a book every other day! I needed to either sort the problem, or come up with a work around solution. Not ...

... are some weird folk about), to wearing a paper bag on your head or discussing the merits of talcum powder over oil when paired with latex mean that some things will never quite seem the same again. Nonetheless, we were exhausted and relieved to make it to Cartagena at last the next day (quite early on, as our anchorage was only about three hours away). The sun was bright and hot, the sky blue, there were palm trees all around and there's both a museum and a concert hall right next to the marina.

We'd chosen a great week to arrive, as Cartagena was partway through its annual festival ...
