Saumur - last stay before Paris

A travel blog entry by anothertrip on Nov 01, 2014

... set up, selling mostly clothing. We went knto one of the hotels we had the name of, and decided to stay, choosing a 'superior room', which was large, had wifi and a tea/coffee maker, ( not that it really influenced me?!), and for €79 a night was good value.
We had another, unfortunate experience like we had on a previous trip, when we tried to get fuel. Many of the stations now are attached to a supermarket, are available ...

We are staying here for another day. We aren't sure yet where we will go after this. But there are several places that we are considering, including Orleans, Blois and Chinon. I was surprised when they stated that they do not know if we can use the tap. It all became clear when they placed a letter in the mailbox, they're delivering mail for the farming village! I can understand now why mail in France can be slow.
While on our detour route to Angers, the trail ended and I could not ...

Nice to be back

A travel blog entry by dancingboots on Sep 19, 2014

We left at 9.05 and drove the 93 miles through not very nice weather, arriving at 11.40. Luckily we got on to Pitch H02 which is near the toilet block but also the pool and restaurant. As we had stayed on the campsite before, we knew where everything was, which is always nice. We were actually just above where we had met Eileen and Phil from Ireland 3 years previously. This time, ...
