... got to view old stone cannons that the locals used to carve and fire off in celebration. We met an odd man who brought his pet owl named Samuel into the local pub (he let me take a picture with him) and I got chin booped by an old Welsh sheep farmer who caught us crossing his fields one day. He was a lovely gentlemen but the chin boop would have been much improved if his hands hadn't been covered in God knows what kind of sheep mess.

... the lovely village of Beddgellert and right beside the slopes of Snowdon. The Ffestiniog Railway is a bit shorter, and the scenery is not quite as impressive, but it's still amazing. The fact that you're on a steam train just adds to it!
We had a great trip down to Porthmadog. and at least the weather stayed fine for the whole trip! From Porthmadog station it was a short walk up to my hotel for the night. I'm only staying here for one night, and then off to Bath tomorrow. ...
