... looked maintained and look really good, with flowering potted plants and gleaming paintwork. Afterwards we stopped at Plas Newydd, the home of the Ladies of Llangollen, a beautiful house with gorgeous gardens. We didn't go inside the house but walked around the gardens and smelled the roses :) The sun was out by now and it was quite warm, and stayed that way for the rest of the day. A heatwave is forecast for the end of the week! Then we walked down to the ...

It is not very often that weather stops us doing anything on our travels. Today we woke to rain and high winds and our planned train trip up Mt. Snowdon was cancelled. Just as well we travel with IPads. A quick search of the area and we found 2 activities that can be done inside out of the weather. ... all afternoon but overall the weather was good, cloudy at times but no rain, just as the Bartleys are used to :) Judy picked us up at the other end of the line and we drove an hour back to Llandudno.  Although the distances are short the roads are winding and sometimes very narrow, so travel time is much, much longer than we are used to in Australia.  A great day again, and another to look forward to ...

Day 15 Bodfari to Prestatyn 12 miles

As promised Linda our hostess arrived at 7.30 with a huge cooked breakfast. There was as she had said more than we could possibly eat and so we made bacon sandwiches and sausage sandwiches which did for lunch and later an evening meal (albeit augmented by a celebratory drink at Prestatyn). Happily we were driven back to the path by David our host and so there was no need to retrace our steps ...
