... cakes and fudge were also a great sweetener, literally. To my annoyance, the television was only telecasting a radio broadcast o the champions league that night, leaving us watching a scoreboard or the entire game, however a game show called 'The Chase,' which has been keeping us greatly entertained, was up to standards. The rain was still coming down as we hit the hay for our last night in Wales, satisfied that we had explored the amazing town of ...

Keen to do some more route bagging in preparation for our SPA we headed to Craig Caseg Fraith Isaf, which had lots of fairly short routes for our grades. We had a lovely sunny day and managed to get lots of routes done. After some lunch we moved on to Tryfan Bach, a nice big slab of rock taking 2 pitches to sail up. I think I placed 1 bit of gear up for the entire climb! It was so slabby you could pretty much just scramble up it hands and feet. Another good days climbing!

I panicked for a while deciding my predicament - try climbing down to get some protection in but risk slipping, or go for it and get up over this crux. Shuffling down seemed more terrifying so I strapped on ...
