... a break in the landscape. Every now and then you see mountain ranges in the distance. This part of New Mexico has many high peaks of around 9000-12000 ft. apparently there are several ski slopes here. I never thought of New Mexico as a ski destination, but that is the thing with travel…you get an education. On route to Elephant Butte is the city called Truth or Consequences. ... and well worth the trip. Afterwards my skin just felt soo soft .We then ventured to the on site restaurant which was pretty empty and when we sat down the few people that where there left so it was a bit lacking in atmosphere ! The food was OK but I could have really done with a nice glass of wine to go with it so it was a bit of a shock to my system to have such a sober day .

Got up early to a cold morning, there is snow up here, but the hot spring was a warm welcome and I enjoyed another soak. Then I did my routine truck check and packed up to get ready for the day.
