Well would you believe it? I've been working for the last 2 days. A friend of Dave's who I met a couple of weeks ago needed a Brickie to build a couple of pillars. So, I dusted off the old trowel. It's been a long time but you never lose it.
Amanda is back tonight. I'm picking her up at Alicante Airport at about 11.30pm. Lucy and me have really missed her and we are both looking forward to seeing her...Ahhh.
I got up nice and early and was outside the Bank at 8.30 when they opened. I explained the situation and they asked me for the fax receipt which I didn't have. After a lot of huffing and puffing by the cashier she went and got out my paper file. Low and behold there was the receipt that they neglected to give to me the last time. It was duly resent and this time I made sure I had both receipts...Memo to self...Make sure you ...
... the air traffic from Alicante or Murcia.
So there I am playing with the remote control of my new toy when everything goes off! What's up? I check out the fuse box but everything is OK. Looking out of the window I can see the man from Iberadola driving off...I've been cut off again..AGHHH!
Phoned the electric company who tell me they have no record of the payment from 2 weeks ago so I need to go to the Bank and get them to re-send it but of course the Bank has just closed ...
We have been having a really lazy time for the past 10 days or so except for the cleaning and unpacking of course. Apart from a couple of bike rides into San Miguel one of the neighboring towns we haven't been far.
The weather has remained ...
... of an excellent meal and a nice bottle of red at The Square, followed by a few Guinness's and entertaining company at The Shandon Bells, we can see our house in the distance...How much have we had to drink?..Are we seeing things?..No we're not..What light from yonder window breaks?...We've been re-connected!...As the good book says: And the Lord said; "Let there be light"...Well the man from Iberadola did anyway.

I can only imagine the nude beach....So we decided to stay one night and head into the city to find lodging the next day. I went to get Richard back at the train station, then we all crashed. No pics here. The apartment was pretty, and would be great if you were coming from cold rainy London for a quiet time in the sun, but it was not for us...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands kenpeterson... by the Umyyads and later converted to a church, but it was closed for a private function! oh well, the town was beautiful. The next night we went to a water festival (read water fight) in Lanjaron, near granada. We arrived in time to see the parade, then the water fight was scheduled to start at midnight, but everyone got a bit excited and it started early. It was well set up, there was a big truck full of water with guys on the ...
