Lakes and the seaside
... a boat as it set off across the still water. Hills overgrown with greenery looked down on us as we slowly sailed between them. Sitting down in the open it did start to get cold. A grey mist rose from the water like the smoke from slow burning coals. Across the other side the wind got the better of our umbrella, turning it inside out. Malinska snorkelling!
... but with toxicly orange pasta sauce which we then all had smeared round our chops for the rest of the day)
Time for a wander so strolled round 'town' for a bit and bought a proper snorkel. Woohoo time to test it out so back in the sea!! Got to see loads more with the snorkel in place, even spotted a cool electric blue swordfish eel type fish and a load of sea cucumber things.
Once shrivelled like a prune we headed back to camp to sort out dinner and chill ...

... hike went, very quickly, from an averageish incline to a steep scrabble. I see the girls up ahead cling to stray, dead branches trying to steady themselves. I have to stop every once in a while to catch my breath. As I lean on a rocky outcrop I'm reminded of the Grouse Grind I did five years ago in Vancouver.
I move on and pass the girls a few metres up - wondering how much longer the incline would last. My sandals aren't suited to stepping on ...
