Et 4 jours pour faire le reste de l ile maurice, ancienne ile de france. 4 jours c est peu mais la promotion aerienne que j ai eu m inpose ces dates. En effet, le trajet reunion - ile maurice est un vol qui est dit un des plus chers du monde, 20 minutes de vol sont facturees entre 250 et 500 euros.

... and watched the sunset while Darren watched the end of "Shaun of the Dead"on TV After a bath and a random hotel snack of meat on a stick and a glass of bubbly we went out to tea and decided to try "Le Benitier", which turned out not only to be very good but very cheap as well. Darren had a squid curry and Penny had a crab curry and we shared a plate of special noodles. All of the food was great and along with a couple of beers the total bill was 500 Rp, which is excellent value.

... as well as sausages and grille aubergine! Then Whil, Florian, Virginie and Anna turned up and there was loads to eat, of course corn curls but also satay dried broad beans and Masala peas?? All went down very well but was made evn better as the Frenchies had brought over a camembert to warm on the BBQ and dip bread into - yum! Then aftr a few drinks and marshmallows we headed out for the Holland game, not a good result and a disappointing end to the day but what a day!

We walked about the numerous shops and boutiques not feeling the need to buy anything other than some postcards and stamps, so our next plan was to take the local bus to the Botanical Garden at Pamplemousses. Some 40 minutes later we were now further inland and walking through the main entrance of some very ornate white wrought iron gates (sent from Crystal Palace England, supposedly) which lead to some beautiful landscaped gardens.

So as they were standing in front of the shrine they didn't pay attention at all to the words their teacher was speaking but instead fixed their eyes on us and smiled for our cameras. The looks on the teachers' faces, we knew they weren't happy with us. But that didn't stop most of us from following them up to the entrance of the temple and take ...

Our stay in Kenya was very short. We were just transiting. We got together with the Gichurus for one meal at a restaurant the first night we were there and they invited us over to their house to share the next and last evening meal with them before our departure. Things often run late in Africa (sometimes very late) as circumstances are quite challenging and rarely under one's total control. As a result of that, our family wasn't able to get together with the Gichurus as planned ...
