    ... this tranquil town. I couldn't have gone any further than 100 yards throughout the whole day and much of it was spent on waterfront branches and the roof patio of my hotel. I think the weather and location had something to do with it. Today was once again cloudy, but it was possibly the most calm and balanced days I've experienced in a long time. The temperature was 'just right', not cold or hot. There was zero wind, almost 'no weather'. ...

    ... like you get at home...strange but lovely to swim in. We then headed around to Palmizana which had an almost "hippy" feel as we walked through the bush to the other side the beach! The beach being solid sand on these beaches. Sun loungers are scattered around on the rocks to be used at cost...being good kiwis we stayed on the rocks. More swims ...

Usually my fear of heights is okay if I can't envision how I could possibly fall -- in this tower it was so easy to envision myself falling that by the top I was gasping out of fear more than anything else! Luckily, we did get a lovely view of the rest of the palace, as it is rather more extensive than the tourist-frequented bits that we made it to.
