My first day off from training was a part eke cloudy and very warm day, perfect to go for a sail and experience some of the islands. There were 7 women, including myself from GATLA who took this tour, along with some very loud Danish men who consumed the free flowing beer and got louder and louder! Mostly groups of people and friends traveling together and a variety of nationalities. Finding the boat was an adventure as the Split ...

... bus and now headed for Split – only about a two hour drive. We drove through some varied countryside and then got to this area where there’s an inlet – I’m not sure if this was from the Adriatic or it was a lake but it was absolutely breathtaking and we were lucky enough to have a stop there and so we could try and capture some of the scenes on camera.

We made it to Brela from Split at around 6pm and promptly got lost on the way to our hostel. This ...

After an early start to catch the 6am catamaran to Hvar, and then a bus to Jelsa, we arrived at our accommodation. We are staying right on the waterfront in Jelsa harbour. It is a very small and peaceful fishing village, a change to both Dubrovnik and Korcula. Jelsa is an ancient village with traditional homes made from stone and with timber shutters. The harbour front has little shops and cafés to cater for a ...

... theres not much detail with Split and it may seem that I didn't do much, but it's the opposite. I had a blast and met some awesome people, so much has happened here in Mostar in the past couple days that I'm going to need some time to get it all down. As always, photos may have to come a bit late. I did manage to upload 10 to Zadar, but for some reason only 6 are showing up...? anyways, next post will be Mostar. ...
