... love hanging out with friends. I love the beach. There is something about the beach that is enchanting to me. I could lay there for hours (with sunscreen of course) taking in the sound of the waves, the smell of the seasalt air, the feeling of sand between my fingers and toes, the peacefulness of the ocean, the heat of the sun. It is so incredibly relaxing. This is my piece of paradise.

... We move on and stop at a ceramic shop and talk with a nice girl who's English is strong and learn about the place and it's link to 'Porches Pottery' one of the most famous pottery studios in all of Portugal. We buy a couple little things and head on down the street to the Museum. At least now we're indoors. The museum is filled with artifacts from places we've been. Not just Silves but also Castro Marim and Mertola.

... loosely, glued to the side i=of the cliffs 100 metres below. Of course she also spies the path down and off we go! Steep and wide it's not too bad, of course we soon have to move aside as one of the boat owners comes by in his truck - uh it's NOT a path - it's the road! After watching the boats rocking and waves crashing over the breakwall, I think I will worry less about my boat during storms at home!

... C1. It was once again a drizzly day and no one else was at the castle parking lot - just our luck! We walked up to the gate to find it sturdily chained shut - just our luck! Well, if you can't breach the odd castle wall then why call yourself a traveller at all...
