... and hešs out too. Išll stop there, youšve got the picture, this surf donšt suit us!! Bring on Bozzy (Boscombe) artificialdom, we canšt wait to try that new manmade surf reef. From now on wešll stick to the mosh pit wešre used to - one with a live band and a load of exuberant front rowers! Ok, roger for Annabelle, Lymšs going to enlighten you on the rest of the day...
Tail between our legs, we head back to Luz beach, enjoyed our first ...

we awoke early and decided to go for a stroll along the river bank to the point where it met the ocean (NOTE AT TIME OF WRITING, we have an entry for Odeceixe to insert). En route we had a quick wash using water that was effectively run off from the hillside. Proceeding on at the beach, we were greeted by two sea otters, happily frolicking in the surf; a wonderful pre breakfast feast for the eyes. As the tide was running very low, surfing ...
... above the river Odeceixe which runs out to the Atlantic. This was an idyllic location and though the tide was all wrong to surf, we parked up on the river bank within sight of the ocean: an absolutely fantastic location which was all ours complete with open fire. We commented on how different the Portuguese attitude is to free camping; its almost part of their constitution!
Praia de Odeceixe, Faro, Portugal lymandannabelle... it was pretty tame until one of the toreadors almost got trampled by one of the bulls, the dude was lucky they dulled the tip of the bulls horns.

... tons of mussels on the bottom, also not fun. The road to get to this lagoon was really sketchy, there's a video in the link below so you can see for yourself.

... Portuguese cod dish, which was out of this world. It was our first dinner as the 6 of us, which was definitely nice.
We were a little astonished by the amount of attention we got just walking down the street. Greece, Italy no problems but for some reason a group of 5 white girls plus 1 asian girl makes an impression on the men. Not mentioning any names, but one of us was treated to a nice slap on the ass. Please see upcoming photos for ...
... apartment with a really nice kitchen and bathroom, which was a really nice treat after staying in 20 bed hostels!! The second night we stayed in the biggest town and we had an entire day to relax on the beach and build sand castels! Before we left on the third day we did the hike across all the towns and got some amazing pictures. The next journey was not as smooth as the rest have been because the night train we planned on taking to Barcelona was full. There was a group ...
Lagos, Algarve, Portugal biddledanielle... to report, as I spent most of my days at the beach, and all of my nights drinking. The aptly named "Sports Bar" proved to be my doom, as they lured us in with four shots apiece for the guys and eight shots apiece for the ladies, and though the shots were liqueurs, something about four ounces of sugar and booze made even the ****** European dance techno at the bar appealing.
Lagos, Portugal jdnason... North America is here. Kids spend their days playing outside, we saw them building tree forts, running, laughing and having fun on their own accord, they have to use their imagination still, they don't have all these things to entertain and stimulate them like video games. Although we enjoyed having our own kitchen and cooking meals for ourselves, we did eat out a few times in Lagos. They have lots of selection for restaurants. We ate a few times at a great Indian place, we ...
Lagos, Portugal audreyandjack... It has been great so far - except for today when pete had the fab idea of making a B line for the beach, as appose to a not so direct C line; and took us through a hay field up to our necks and stepping on thick hay with unkown ditches and falling all over the place - if we were in Aus land, a snake would have got us for sure - but in hindsight, it was all pretty funny. Loving it! Maybe we will see you next year instead :P
