      We spent a few hours driving around and exploring the different areas of Noumea, stopping wherever and whenever we chose to. It was a pretty good day.

      After dinner, we were treated to a performance by Australia's favourite stand up Comedian, Bruno Lucia. Lots of laughs.

So, we hurried to the only Internet cafe we were able to track down on the map, and asked the proprietor about his Wi-fi, only to be told, in heavily accented French, "I don't let any tourists to use my Internet, especially you English-speaking ones. I have had enough of you, so NO MORE! You cannot use my internet." That was our "bienvenue" from the lovely French outpost of Noumea. Do we feel welcomed to French Polynesia??? Not quite ...
