Christine and Caleb pretty much bypassed our included breakfast today. As I was paying the bill we were informed that our 5PM ferry had been cancelled - oh, were you not notified. For the love of Jesus. Turns out there was actually a call for some bs weather so cruise boats were diverted to Noumea and our ferry cancelled. Somehow they did not get that message to us. Others had received a message and all of the spots on the 30 minute flight back to Noumea were ...

... Pixar movie Inside Out - which is an incredibly well thought out film about our emotions. Even in French I followed it enough to both laugh and cry. The boys were as excited about the popcorn as they were the film but they ended up liking both a lot. The theatre was full on a Thursday afternoon though it is school holidays. Christine went to the Noumea Museum and a few other sites while we were at the movies and managed to trip and hurt her ankle :( she ...

She is still apprehensive about the three of us sharing a bed together, even calling them sun pods. After getting on the lift at Level 2 I said I had to ...

... no - no bus goes to the zoo - so I set off with my map for the taxi stand and stumbled into it as I was trying to nail down where it was. A nice lady taxi driver took me there. I bought my senior ticket and the ticket person was nice enough to give me an English translation for the special exhibit on biodiversity that was in the museum there. He said I needed to allow 1 1/2 hrs. for the zoo and 3 hrs for the botanical garden at a minimum to do ...

... The shrimp were good - I was happy but would have been happier if I could have gotten more to drink more quickly, but the poor women were extremely busy.

I paid my senior rate for the museum - the tourist office tipped me off to getting the discount. The museum was quite well done I thought with interesting displays - great building - but even though I could once at least read French fairly well, I have slipped. The temporary exhibit didn't ...
