      Started the day with a marching band leading a parade to the church across the piazza. Took a train from Florence to Venice stopping briefly at Bologna and Padua.       ... many artists who are famous today. She lived in Venice for 30 years until her death in 1979. Her home, and a fantastic collection of modern art, remains as a private museum today. I had read her biography a few years ago and was really fascinated by her, so it was a thrill to see her home and collection up close.       ... was even better than yesterday, we saw things we missed and got further off the normal track. By one of the canals there was a nice mexican restraunt where we sat and had a coffee or 2, the roof in the back area came off like a convertible and we sat there with the sun shinning on our shoulders while sipping our coffee's. Next was a supermarket trip and you would have thought that we were buying a house, we were in there for hours, all to find the perfect ingredients ...
