      ... Marco Polo and Casanova’s pads. The only problem with the trip was that they seem to be on a different time plan where a 40 min trip “plus or minus a few minutes for traffic” is allowed except that we all felt it only took about 20 min? Anyway, if you can, do it as a once in a lifetime chance (but still consider sharing!)

      ... on board, the ship doesn’t feel crowed. There is always somewhere to sit.

      As the ship departed, the ship’s horn piped the theme tune from the love boat. The ‘Legend of the Seas’ tried to replay the compliment but ended up giving a feeble toot of their horn by comparison!!

      We had a slightly delayed start as there were some issues to sort out with Sam's travel smart visa card. A phone call sorted that out, but for some reason his visa is not connecting to the ANZ bank, so that is still a concern.

      Anyway, we made it to breakfast and then set off around 0900 to scour the shops. The sales are still on so we did not resist too much. I got a beautiful pair of Dior sunglasses that just arrived into the store ...

      ... glass of bubbles as we traversed the Italian countryside. I couldn’t help but admire the rolling green hills and vibrant fertile valleys.       We made it out, though, and have had a pretty good day just walking around the city today. We had pizza and Bellini (prosecco and peach juice - a Venetian speciality) for dinner. Here you get an entire pizza for yourself. It isn't cut in slices and you just eat the whole thing with a knife and fork like a steak or chicken. Josh liked the pizza, but I wasn't much of a fan.
