... fall. The whole trip is full of a thousand possible photo shots that could be post cards. We stay at a fantastic apartment that looks across the yard and not very busy road to the cloud shrouded mountains forming Lake Como in front of us. Ducks and swans paddle, boats an buoys bob in the water and you can't help love this beautiful place where you could spend weeks or even a lifetime if you were lucky. We will head back to Milan tomorrow afternoon. We may need to be dragged ...

... We met a mother and daughter from Melbourne so sat for about an hour talking to them at lunch time. We came back to the apartment and listened to music and watched Animal Planet in Italian, lol. We decided to have dinner at home so bought supplies at the supermarket. Later that night we got the water taxi and did the loop around ...

Our train arrived at Venice Mestre - a station based on the mainland of Venice, so we had to catch a connecting train to the main Venice station, Santa Lucia, which is on the island itself. Once we exit the station we were greeted by a fresh wind and overcast skies that cast a shadow over the grand canal that run parallel with the station. Venice was bustling and vibrant, even on a day with such terrible weather. We were not to spend time here, however, as we needed to catch our shuttle ...
