... parked there which is a 1941 submarine that patrolled much of the Pacific. This thing had been refitted in Brisbane back in the day and was credited with sinking 15 enemy ships. Boo-yah.

... of WW2. The exhibitions in the main building cover mainly the D Day Campaign and the Pacific theatre. There are many uniforms and weapons displayed in the galleries as well as many personal items carried by soldiers as well as neat little stations where you can listen to veterans tell their stories.

... lake in the centre. I was getting hungry so I retraced my steps. On my way back I walked into a grave yard. The interesting thing about braves in New Orleans is that they are all above ground, crypts. I had been informed by Will that they are like this because New Orleans is a swamp, and dig a few feet down anywhere, and you'll hit water. So people must be buried above ground. ... flight. She sat between two men one very large man in the isle seat feel asleep and kept leaning into her and his hand landing in her lap !! Being the sweetheart she is she didnt say anything and had to lean into the other man on her right. Though, she did enjoy visiting with him the whole flight there.
