    ... Now I am a student again. Just arrived in Nicosia and staying at the University Residence. The students have all left though – summer break so virtually have a complex to myself. Good wifi though so maybe able to load some photos. (if I find the time)

    May cross into the Turkish part of Cyprus and have a look. Have an offer of a day trip around but not worth it by myself (to Kerynia). Will see if I can do a bus there for another beach ...

    ... What impressed me was that not even for once was I bothered with what was going on at the bar throughout the day or late at night although it was much below but on the same side of the building. The room was fully air-conditioned, with a flat satellite TV although the picture was not always that clear and with not that many channels. I guess it is something minor since I don’t think guests who are here will bother watch TV even for once. Facilities ...

    After about two hours of walking we come to a plateau where the Nature Trail of Smigies connects with the Aphrodite Trail.


    We come across a faucet and make a stop.

    I approach, introduce myself, hand out a couple of my business cards and ask if I can join them. The reply is positive, so here I am with the group walking the Adonis trail. Hurray!

    ... is slippery and the path gets quite narrow.

    We go on and on, the doggie follows and I can't stop taking pictures throughout the way until we reach the Baths of Aphrodite.


    We cover the Circular Trail in 6 instead of 4 hours only because there was no need to hurry back to the hotel earlier.


    We do make a stop at the Baths of Aphrodite for photos and cool off ...
