Our business meeting lasted an hour in the morning and then it took 3 hours to run the elections, cast and count ballots and then do several second votes. After the meeting people did laundry, swam and napped. Many went for a group ride and one lady actually got married in the lobby of the hotel.

... thank you cards to a few individuals, but she had received too many cards from Canada to send individual thank you notes. She was pleased when she realized we were all from Canada and she could thank us in person.

The group photo was held in front of the hotel at 6:00 pm and parade assembly was at 7:30 pm. We had an antique car and two bus loads of veterans and their families lead us to the veterans hospital. ... 8217;s hard to explain how we could become such good friends in just one overnight stay. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that both Cheyenne (16) and Mathew are special kids with some special needs. The conversations about school, horses and movies started a bit clumsy with us translating Matt’s vocalizations, and Keith mostly speaking for Cheyenne but things warmed up as our shared interests trumped speech challenges.

I took my ride today in a tank top with only a headband and no helmet. I actually ended up lost and headed out on the highway. I quickly pulled a u-turn and returned to town.
