... strudel. Just the icing on the cake. A wonderful day was spent & back to our hotel. Dinner was independent tonight so we found a lovely Indian restaurant next to our hotel. Vespers & best meal since I left home. And Greg had a lamb dish & I had a chicken one. A lovely walk through one of the gardens before retiring & walking off our tea completed a wonderful day. there was still snow on the ground at the top 6017ft. It is now a big tourist attraction and restaurant
We had the most beautiful day which Ruth said is very rare, so good weather is following us.

... at the Europcar office, before realising that with my Priviledge Card I could go straight to the special counter for immediate service.... Doh!
So, I passed over the card, and after saying I was here to collect my car, waited with baited breath for her to say "Sorry sir, we don't have a reservation in that name....", but Nup.... No problems....here are the keys etc etc....
Phew! I probably don't need to go into details of why that was a relief......

... many different vibrant colours today. After the tour we ventured up on the funicular to get a birds eye view of the.City. There were many skiers on the mountain - it is possible to leave your office at lunch time, catch the funicular and cable car to the top of the mountain, ski down and then head Bach to work in the afternoon. Many people were carrying skis that were around 20" long in small ...
