... look. As we parked an old man aged 86 came to greet us, he spoke very good English and seemed genuinely pleased to meet us. The cemetery was quite large, it was very noticeable that a good percentage of the graves were for 'Unknown Soldier' very sad. We still had a few hours to kill so we walked around Souda, a run down sort of place with a quay side factory that makes animal feed from grain, it gives off a strange smell, a toasted grainy alcoholic smell, it's ...

... found it. The gates were open but there wasn't anyone there, however the water was on and the chemical toilet waste was accessible, so we used their facilities (thank you) and then left and parked at the end of the road for the night outside a closed taverna. ... and dog to spend the winter. He originates from Hamburg and owns a house in Russia near St. Petersburg. He's very friendly, he asked if we liked to fish, we told him 'no' and we asked if he did, he joked that his white beard was made of fish bones.
After lunch the rain had stopped so we put on our walking boots, our walking shoes are still wet from yesterday, and we walked into town. We crossed a bridge where the river from the mountains runs into the sea. it ...

It,a very wet and windy again this morning. We set off to drive across to the south coast. As we left the beach area the track had become very rutted with the rain water flooding down it, it made us wonder how the Austrians were going to get up it in their camper. As we climbed up into the mountains there were a lot rock falls across the road we picked our was around them and in another spot there was a large branch that had broken off a tree, we managed to squeeze past it. Further on ...
