Did not plan well today, as I didn't have enough food for fuel and the villages were mostly quiet for the season. Many of these villages will become bustling during the winter ski season. They are taking a siesta during the fall! Grateful for my new pilgrim ...

... was multi lingual and wise. We had a bit of a challenge regarding paying for anything as we hadn't stocked up on cash at Jaca, only to discover that the next ATM was 3 days walk away, but our many new friends came to our assistance and ensured we were covered, and our hosts compensated. We were perhaps now connected by more than friendships; we owed them money as well ! (All since covered off !)
