... here! It is amazing! It's an Irish pub. Cool atmosphere, big portions. After dinner, Riley showed us the sights around town and took us to Pensacola Beach. We didn't stay out late because Evan and I want to get up early and head out. But it was nice to visit with a good friend before we left.

But it was great, the sand was white, the water was clear and great temp, good/calm conditions and everyone could walk out a ways without it being too deep. We ...

Well, this day came a little too soon...three weeks was a long time, but it definitely went by quickly. Madrid's airport is huge...and I mean much bigger than you can imagine. After checking in, we headed to our gate and the sign at the airport train said it was 22 minutes away...WHAT?!?!? After finally arriving at our gate and boarding the plane, we settled in for some ...

... and onward. Most of these forts seem to have been decommissioned following WWII, when it was clear that they were useless in an era of bomber planes which could just fly right over them.

We had dinner at the Fish House, a locally famous spot on the harbor in downtown Pensacola. This was a recommendation from Bonnie, our B&B innkeeper, and it was an excellent one. The menu has ...
