We say farewell to Milan with a taxi to the Central Railway Station which is huge, try to purchase tickets from carne machine but it won't accept my credit card, luckily a nice gypsy woman just happened to be looking over my shoulder and offered to help and we get our tickets. ... a bit annoyed that it's too dark to get decent photos of the beautiful buildings and historical murals... then down to the lakeside which is active, but not really packed with people. I'd think that this would have to be a very popular summer spot for folks from the cities in the plains to get away. I do check prices at a hotel. 35 Euros a night. Actually less then I had thought... but no... I'm switching to camping mode and will only use this option as an emergency ...
