In 1953, Zakinthos suffered a series of devastating earthquakes. This resulted in the total destruction of the island’s infrastructure and destroying much of the original Venetian influence. Only three buildings on Zakinthos remained standing including the St. Dionysios Cathedral of which I posted a photo.

We slept in late this morning and had Rupesh bring us coffee. Around lunchtime we headed up to the pool deck and had a burger, which was pretty good. Then we went into the hot tub and read by the pool for a little while.
