... with olive trees and vineyards. Any untilled land is covered in wildflowers. It is a beautiful time of year here. There are lots of little villages along the way. The houses vary from very nice stone structures to little more than hovels. It is hard to tell if people actually live in the latter. ... To fill in time and while I had an ounce of strength I did the laundry. Breakfast was also a trial with me having to force down my usual of Bircher muesli, pecan nuts, low fat yoghurt, and blueberries. Yoghurt smoothie. Worried about low blood sugar so I very reluctantly toasted 3 pieces of banana bread with jam. Watching calories, so I didn't use butter. Went to the library and got a book ...

    1st Olympic Games

A travel blog entry by krisdee on Sep 28, 2014

The first stop on our cruise is Katakolon, Greece (which is right outside of Olympia). We decided not to eat breakfast today and eat lunch early right before we got off the ship. I spent the morning once again, searching for my phone, with no luck. We got in around 1pm and ended up getting a tour bus ride from the cruise line for 14 euros to Olympia. As we started to drive there my initial thoughts on Greece ...
