Gaudi and La Rambla
The Casa Batlló is one of Gaudi's most famous works in Barcelona (see pic of the front of the building). It is located just a few blocks from BCG. I went inside for an audio guided tour. The house was amazing, built between 1904 and 1906 it is really modern and futuristic in its design. Every wall and staircase and furniture shaped liked waves and everything was inspired by shapes from the nature. It was really beautiful! Also incredible how Gaudi was way before his time as ...
Sagrada Familia
... we'd read about Barcelona banged on about pick pockets and scam merchants so we were a bit nervous on our first day out and quickly headed off again. The area around us didn't look that spectacular so we didn't actually get to the Torre Agbar but headed west along the Grand Via Corts Catalanes.

The beach was packed... full of people trying to sell us things. We eventually made it home on the metro and had a very chill night at the house. Our RA, barbra, came over to check in with us and make sure everything was going as planned! ...
España!

That night we went back to the hostel and drank some wine and I fell asleep on the most comfortable coach ever! (imagine that........ me.... fall asleep somewhere) Yeah, so Lisa tried to make me up, she even pulled on my legs, but I was out like a light. So, I woke up ...
Busy in Barcelona - Park Guell, Sagrada Familia
... for the 3.30 pm tour. So off I went - in totally the wrong direction as I discovered 20 minutes later when I consulted my map. So as I was in the area I visited the park area (Parc de la Ciutadella) near the Arc de Triumph. I took photos and I was pleased that I had made the mistake as I don't know if I would have gone there otherwise. There was an amazing fountain - called The Cascade. A suggestion to other travellers when it is really hot and you ...
