... chilly journey home. I hoped off the bus at Plaça de Catalunya and walked back to the hotel via La Rambla. There are about 10 streets which come off Plaça de Catalunya and as I stood in the square looking at all the exits I wondered which was the famous La Rambla. I knew as soon as I saw it. Wall to wall tourists, markets, street performers, alfresco cafes, everything. No wonder its a haven for pick pockets. It was an interesting walk home, but my hand was on my bag the whole ...

... and the press areas all included - Deb even enjoyed it. We swung by the scaffolding-clad Gaudi cathedral on the way back to the flat before a swim in the pool, a last stroll down to the beach and then more tapas and tat shopping. A great exhibit stands today in the former market structure, completely renovated, with unearthed ruins from the 1700s. The site is free, informative, and has a great bookshop, with many Catalonian books, including literature on the separation of the region of Catalonia from Spain, a very ...

... the same. Beautiful, but the same. Got a quiche and it was pretty tasty. And a gelato which might be my last! Hopefully not. Back on the bus for 3 more hours. Sleepy sleep. Bye bye France. I loved everything about you and will miss you dearly. Finally arrived in Barcrlona. 7:00. Been on this freaking bus all day. The Canadians and I rushed to the beach the second we got here to get some pics. Might have been a little late. Made it back to the hotel for the worst meal ...
