    ... what I would normally call fun but it was. Hanging out in 4 ft of ocean water, practicing all of our skills was really fun! And it just got better by swimming around the reef after!

    ... bagged plankton) to the sharks which dutifully follow them along and show off for the tourists. We were free to swim along with them. They are supposedly the largest fish in the world. They seem to be about 15 ' long, with the shark tail and flat head, but instead of teeth (thankfully) they have big wide mouths to suck in and filter the plankton, with corresponding big gills to allow the filtered water out.     It wasn't part of my original plan to visit the Philippines. My perception of this country was that it was very poor and dangerous and so spread out across thousands of islands (7000 in fact) that it would be difficult to travel around.     ... only place with Internet is next door and they don't like you to use it.
