      ... however, the surrounding countryside is pretty - vineyards everywhere and distant snow covered mountains. We detoured to Desenzano on the banks of Lake Garda. Clearly a summer holiday town but a beautiful town situated on the shores of a huge lake. The water is crystal clear.       ... apartment with 3 other wedding guests. Mike & Amy and Moriah who made that 3 night stay great! With backpacks on and walking to our apartment after 20 hours traveling Amy jumped out of a cafe to greet us so we dropped our stuff and sat down. YES! Felt so good to drop everything and have someone else take care of us. Thank you Mike & Amy! Ate some delicious sandwich, coffee, and a pastry.
