We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The only slight downside is that we didn't realise how far it was from downtown Dubai (thats not the hotels fault and the Metro is easy to navigate!). Service was brilliant and the room was large and clean with everything we needed in it. No complaints at all, great value for money.

Arrived into Dubai international airport from Adelaide on time at 5.15am with Emirates (12.5hrs flight). Took about 15 min for a bus to transfer us from Terminal C to Terminal B arrival lounge. Airport is spectacular and huge. We transferred to Marco Polo hotel where we are have been catching upon sleep most of the day. Went walking (just me) this …

Part 1 - Paris We jumped into our taxi at 7am, bleary eyed but all good. It was a good idea to prebook the taxi on Saturday as the train strike is still ongoing which not only makes it hard to get a taxi as they are so busy but the traffic was gridlocked, even this early. Lucky this was traffic heading into Paris, the trip to the airport was pretty …

... 3 personal days from work and booked our multi-leg journey to Pennsylvania. This entry is about our layover in Dubai, where we spent 14 hours before boarding another 14 hour flight to New York. All to do it again 2 days later. Total of 4 days and over 40 hours of flying. Thankfully, Emirates airlines is incredible and made the long flights as pleasant as possible :)

... Resort House guests to swim in the huge aquarium and amongst the sharks. The fish were many colours and very beautiful. This Aquarium has underwater mazes and tunnels with species that include sharks, eels, seahorses and pirañas. Their over 20 marine life exhibits including a touch tank and an interactive Aquatheatre show which unfortunately we didn't see.

After this we went and had a lunch, which was also included in the ticket price of A$73.00. Not a healthy ...
