Part 1 - Paris We jumped into our taxi at 7am, bleary eyed but all good. It was a good idea to prebook the taxi on Saturday as the train strike is still ongoing which not only makes it hard to get a taxi as they are so busy but the traffic was gridlocked, even this early. Lucky this was traffic heading into Paris, the trip to the airport was pretty …

... bus ride home I was completely satisfied with how I had spent my day. From the wildlife sanctuary I caught another bus back to the Dubai mall where I decided to dine in a Lebanese restaurant called Burj Al Hamam. I had quite an enjoyable meal at the restaurant as I do not eat Lebanese food regularly.

... if you wanted any more ice cubes?' Baffled, and unaware that we had any ice cubes to begin with I replied saying no thank you and he left, apologising for disturbing us. We've kept our door locked since then. We had a very late dinner, still full from the fish and chips for a long time afterwards. Dinner was amazing. It was Mexican themed and there was so much good food that it was impossible to decide what to have. Stuffed, we then returned to the room for a proper night's ...

... by the pool in some shade and we thought we'd check out renting some bikes this evening to try and cycle along the beach to palm islands. We've found things all a little by expensive here so are holding off on the helicopter rides and are just going to try and entertain ourselves till our 3am flight! We're both glad we've had a quick trip here, but I can't say I'd choose to come back in a rush, we look very out of place with our huge ...

The people here pay no taxes but they also do not have any social security unless they are local. If you are not a local, even if you were born here you have to have a job or else you will be deported. A child born to parents who are not part ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The only slight downside is that we didn't realise how far it was from downtown Dubai (thats not the hotels fault and the Metro is easy to navigate!). Service was brilliant and the room was large and clean with everything we needed in it. No complaints at all, great value for money.
