Asked hotel service twice for additional bath towels and face washers - still waiting
Though non-smoking I have my doubts as room had a smell (not necessarily smoke) on entry

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The only slight downside is that we didn't realise how far it was from downtown Dubai (thats not the hotels fault and the Metro is easy to navigate!). Service was brilliant and the room was large and clean with everything we needed in it. No complaints at all, great value for money.

TRAVEL DAY - Dubai to Adelaide

Having arrived at the hotel through a quick transfer from the airport we settled into the room for one sleep.

Been in the hotel now for 12 hours and Ros appears to be a little better so hopefully the long flight to Adelaide won't be quite as bad as the flight from Paris for her. She was very …

      Our holiday has started!

We arrived into Dubai International airport from Adelaide on time at 5.15am with Emirates (12.5 hrs flight). Then it took about 20 min for a bus to transfer us from Terminal C to the Terminal B arrival lounge. Dubai Airport is spectacular and huge.

Eventually we found our way to the Arabian Adventures …

Part 1 - Paris We jumped into our taxi at 7am, bleary eyed but all good. It was a good idea to prebook the taxi on Saturday as the train strike is still ongoing which not only makes it hard to get a taxi as they are so busy but the traffic was gridlocked, even this early. Lucky this was traffic heading into Paris, the trip to the airport was pretty …

The Dancing Fountains, which are located in the Burj Khalifi lagoon, display every 30 minutes from 18.00, and attract three-deep crowds twenty minutes before the start of each display to experience the sound, light and water show. The after-dark shows, especially, are a can' t miss.
