We also spotted the fort of old Dubai, now a museum, plus mosques and minarets amongst modern office buildings, palm trees lining the promenades and cormorants perched on buoys drying their wings, but all that was for tomorrow.

It was a lovely journey and we returned to the landing stage all ...

... heat levels rose considerably (44 degrees) causing distress for the ladies, despite drinking copious quantities of water - which then led to the next problem - where are the loos ??!! Some very helpful locals pointed us in the right direction but the heat damage had been done and decision was made to head to safety and air conditioning. So back to Dubai Mall and much need rehydration and refueling.

Evening back at the hotel and we used ...
