Ochi Day in Greece and Musical Goats!

... seaweed that was really dense. At first I thought they were sea eggs.

The highlight of the day would have to be the herd of about 40 goats that crossed the road in front of us. Every goat had a large bell around its neck and the music from these bells was amazing. It was like someone was playing the xylophone! We stopped and listened for about ten minutes. Some of the larger goats were standing on their hind legs and eating out of the trees!

The old city is on the hill behind the port ...

Caleb's schooling routine now established, he began the day with 1hr "Phys. Ed." With dad on the beach, 2hrs of the R's with me, lunch, and then time to explore before dinner at a seaside taverna. What bliss.

Beyond the town lies greater Naxos: tiny villages ...

Woke to lovely weather and a super breakfast bar selection. Set off in taxis at 09:30 to centre of Island with Janette choosing the easy walk and me the difficult one! Both groups met in Kinidaros after having coffees in different cafés. We the met again at a church at Artemois for our picnic lunch. After lunch we split up into our separate groups and headed to the turtle pond! Finally, met up again at Eggares for Olive ...
