... with bags in their hands!
Went to the Piazza Maggiore after breakfast. It is the historic centre of town with the obligatory church/cathedral (Basilica del Santo Petronio). We visited the City library first. It is a very cool library, very modern but with a beautiful old ceiling. Couldn't do much reading as it is all in Italian.
It was the Church after that. The most interesting thing in the church other than the ...

As if this was not enough, the church also has an upstairs gallery, with a fantastic painted ceiling, and yet another amazing sculpture set. The first fun started at Florence when a group of Americans got on with simply enormous cases, and loudly asked that our cases be moved from the ...
... nav has been a blessing but told us to turn right in middle of a tunnel as we approached Como so had to resort to old fashioned sign reading until sat nav had recovered herself! Gripped door handle hard during final stage of journey as dark and roads very twisty. Road kept going down to single track with no notice and Italians seem to drive like made men. Well done Stu! Lovely welcome at Grand Hotel Tremezzo and we needed the bottle of Prosecco they gave us! Will await the view ...
