Rest and Relaxation

... on the bus, this is where Angie decides that she’s going to outdo the old people and slips on her ankle and 'almost’ falls off the stool (and the bus). She lands-up getting a fairly swollen ankle (and didn’t tell me till later) but was OK.

We arrive at the resort and are told we have full rein of the pools and also get a lunch. We have 4.5 hours here to relax, and we take EVERY SINGLE minute of it.

short notes of the day

From the ship we boarded a bus for a tour of the city. It took us around the bay
of the city. Then a Short street to the Pacific side where the
Cliff divers are. We were able to shop for about 30 minutes, then went through the la brea hotel to
look at the cliff where the divers jump from ...

The museums, the bordom, the welcome farewell

... people but I only walked the streets passing empty bars with employers looking more bored than me.
Sunday I had accepted my fate and enjoyed my breakfast (cocktails and shrimp cocktails) by the beach. I went to see the few sight there is to see; the high cliff divers and the fortress. Luckily it started to rain so I had a good excuse to spend the evening in my room. But I already had an even better excuse because I had been ...

... to admit it, we were pretrified. The whole deal was on the sly anyway, they told us other passengers were on board, which wasn't true, and we had no tickets and no record of us even boarding a bus if anything was to happen. We turned to each other absolutely panicking, as we only had a couple more minutes before we were on the darkest highway in the middle of mexico alone with these 2 men! Mel searched through her bag ...

A good base for visiting Acapulco

... speak fluent English. The hotel has a colourful interior, a pool with seating areas, and spacious modern rooms, with cable TV that are kept in pristine condition. Their rates are between 300 peso for a double and up to 900 peso for a suite that sleeps up to six people, but you shouldn't have any problems in getting discount on ...

Return home

... the counter clerk assumed they had missed the cut-off. We had no problems and had been assigned four seats in a row, which was fine. Flight was very close to on time, which is good because we have to recheck on to United in LAX (although our bags will go through). Arrived SFO a bit late, and had to wait 45 minutes for bags! But the car was there, and we were home by one o'clock in the morning. Gruden greeted us with whimpering.

Sunday and Monday

... We had a construction team outside working, putting stucco on the wall and painting the railings outside the window. A little while ago, someone broke into Sobre el Puente and took everything and damaged some of the property as well. Crosby taught the lesson today, it was the introduction to our whole theme, which is love. We hope to get across to the kids at Sobre el Puente what love really is and how they can show love to others.

Acapulco and it's HOT !

... the road we see many buses and taxis, mostly VW beetles all with neon lights glowing and adding to the bizarre dance of vehicles winding their way along the crowded streets. Monday morning after a walk up and down the beach fighting off the beach dogs we head for Acapulco and the Mercado Central for shopping......again ! Another great bus ride on the Mex bus system is thrilling. These guys give no ground to anyone in their path, pick-up and discharge ...
