        Acapulco and the corruption

... other direction. The police officer then starts playing good cop and telling us he'll do us a favour and not give us a ticket if we give him money. Not only did he want money but he refused to give back our car registration, by this point Kike was losing his temper and began to get rather stern with him. Next thing I know there's $100 pesos changing hands and we were off again. Seriously f*** the police! We knew we'd have problems because of our DF number plates but ...

        Acapulco, Mexico

We had decided to head to Acapulco (Mexico's original party town) as someone had told us it was a must place to visit for the famous cliff divers there. ... been dubbed the most violent city in the world. That title has been shrugged off recently, and the tourist rush is back on.
There are really 2 sides to Acapulco - Antiguo and Nuevo. Antiguo is the old city, where it used to be the hot international destination. But as it started to get overcrowded with the riff-raff (backpackers and tourists like me), the elites moved elsewhere. They moved down the bay and built it up to a degree that you ...

        Sailing down the Mexico Coast

A travel blog entry by cazzah on Apr 18, 2014

Today we spent the day sailing down the coast of Mexico. From our map, we are off the coast of Acapulco. No port stops today as we are heading to Guatamala, which takes two nights and two days sailing to arrive. The waters are very calm and the sailing very smooth. We are both very relaxed and Johnny is enjoying the variety of foods on board.
