... only westerners on there for a short while until another 2-3 couples jumped on board. There were Asian tourists all around; and they love a selfie! I'm sure that's the only the thing they know how to so on their phone! That and get an English translator up. The boat ride was about two hours long, Scott fell asleep catching flies for the entire time. I thought it was a pretty bumpy ride but he obviously thought different because he wouldn't have been able to sleep otherwise. ...

... were destroyed. It was very easy to see how a tsunami could do such damage. There are only a couple of hundred metres of land separating two different bays and apparently the tsunami from both bays met in the middle of the island creating mass flooding. Although the island is about same size as Koh Tao in terms of land mass, much of this is forestation and mountains that is inhabitable. ... night. The main attractions here are the fabulous beaches and hiring a scooter to explore the island, which we did on our second day. Our first day was far less fun. Sarah woke up with food poisoning so I spent the day playing nurse! But the power cut really didn't help as we had to sit in an oven all day.
