We decided today, that we would drive into the inner city of Buffalo and check out the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park near the harbor.

The park was opened in 1979 and is the home of guided missile cruiser USS Little Rock (CLG-4), WWII destroyer USS The Sullivans (DD-537), and WWII submarine USS Croaker (SSK-246.

Due to some news reports and warnings about one or two of the countries we wanted to tour, we decided to postpone that trip for a few years. One night we were watching the movie "Death on the Nile". We started talking about taking a cruise on the Nile on that boat. From there, the rest of the trip ...

Mechanical difficulties. Flight delays. Explodying rum bottles in suitcases. Snowed-in airports. Mob passengers threatening rebellion. We don't have the best luck for our return flights. One good thing I can say about the remainder of the day is that the food on the AC flight is exciting. Maybe if all the passengers were restricted to Cuban meals for 6 weeks before boarding, they'd appreciate the vegetarian curry and chocolate cake. My taste buds ...
