... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

... Women often wear bejeweled denim jeans and bejeweled jean jackets, when the men don’t. The environment, as well as people walking through the streets give the tourist an excellent taste of what it would have been like to live in the Wild Wild West.

As I walked around I found myself in complete awe. I was fascinated by the concept that nothing was staged. It wasn’t a pre-planned exhibit you might find in a museum, ...

Generally I am a big proponent of slowing time down. I am not obsessed with trying to recapture my youth on live for eternity, it just seems like every year and every month is lived and chronicled as history quicker and quicker when I pause to reflect on where I'm at and where I have been. However, with my upcoming trip to Peru and Bolivia; I can't spin the hands of the clock fast ...

... hotel. Upon arrival, my mom hinted that we needed to tip the driver, so I took out $2 (nice to finally use American cash), and gave it to the driver, noting that 2 other passengers just walked off.

After a speedy check-in, it was off to our room. The whole hotel reminded me of a motel feeling, where the rooms overlook the "atrium" of the hotel. It wasn't bad, but compared to our previous experience in Asia, it was definitely different! Our room was 341, so we ...

... sum. The food was delicious once we got it.

Then it was back to Magnolia hotel for a nap. Afterwards we had a party in the bar area thanks to the hotel – they had a “free” happy hour in return for the elevators being excessively slow, plus they gave coupons for free drinks after that. Lots of fun chatting together, then called it a night. Thanks and love to Colton and Olvia for being such great hosts!!
