... haven’t come through yet. I thought that if the sockeye were at Hell’s Gate the Coho salmon would definitely be here, but no. Apparently, coho and chum salmon are a little later – next week. We will check them out when we are going to Vancouver to leave as you have to pass through Hope.

After the disappointment of the salmon, we went to the Othello Tunnels. This is the site of an old railway line ...

Ciao for now…so much more to come.

... was not!! Princetown as a whole we were happy to pass through although there was a gold panning still happening in this area as well.

South then North through a Regional Park, getting close to the border then heading away again. Lots of closed trails with parking spaces at the trail heads so it is likely to be busy in summer. We had previously seen a track that was suitable for walking, biking or cross country skiing – with snow at the side ...

... is something to behold. Its another amazing part of Canada that seems almost like a secret tucked away.

From the Cayoosh Canyon we entered the Fraser Canyon and river. We really enjoyed our drive along the Fraser River. The road goes up quite high so it gives the passenger a fantastic view of the river far below (lucky me!) The road is quite narrow in some areas and we even saw mountain goats! The Fraser valley is interesting as it ...
