It was quite the spectacle and Graeme and Leanne (friends from back home) came over from Christchurch to see what it was all about. It was a pretty cool atmosphere and we stayed over at Rhys and Shelleys from ...

... departing the United States before. My main course was two-part. First came an appetizer tray with layered egg, salmon temari, glazed beef-wrapped burdock, shrimp with fish eggs, seared tuna with wasabi dressing, and somen noodles with simmered shiitake mushrooms. The tuna was disgusting. I did not care for the egg or noodles. The beef was okay, and I enjoyed the salmon and shrimp. Then came my true main course, pan-seared monkfish with nanban an, simmered daikon, ...

... to go to the admin area where we signed and handed in export control forms, borrowed hard hats, goggles, and steel-toed shoes. Beth led us to her office where we introduced ourselves, then waited for our first meeting to begin. The first one was with Beth's boss and his boss (the plant manager). The plant manager was very polite, and it was nice of him to take time out of what I am sure is a very ...
