... are so close to them ( through glass ) but we swear they were swimming up to us and looking us in the eye. They were Gentoo and King penguins. The king penguins were enormous as big as a medium sized dog. And for being in the right place at the right time one of the Penguins had a chick between its feet !! The chick kept putting its head out for food it was a scene out of Happy feet !! We were mesmerised never seen that before. But then a bit further on was a laugh out loud moment there ...

Walked the boardwalks, visited the whale-inspired Te Rewarewabridge, some museums and art galleries, the festival of Lights. ...

It was lovely not to need the air con blasting us all night as well! Once we were ready we walked into Auckland to have a look around the city. Its much cooler over in NZ- today was cloudy and about 22 degrees- but it's actually quite nice not to be roasting in 30 degrees plus and covered in suncream! We walked all along the harbour ...

... we were jumping at 2pm.

After a light lunch it was jump time. In the gift shop there was a T-Shirt saying "I chickened out the jump". I tried to convince Rachel that I'd look amazing in it....didn't work. At this point we agreed, although I didn't have much input, that I would jump first. I wish I could say I was being a man about it and leading the way but it was to make sure I did it. Rach didn't want to jump and then see me arrive at the bottom in the lift. Video says ...
