... We stopped off at the ranger centre before heading out to Vicki and Jim's favourite spot, Birch Bay, for a wiener roast lunch. Not many people around at this time of year but it was easy to see why this National Park is so popular with the locals during the summer season. ... US is in places, Canada to Regina is nothing upon nothing. I look at those thousands of acres of farmland and didn't see one farm or farmer... What's up with that. I think there were four old homesteads, long abandoned, out of place but untouched, well one had graffiti. But nothing. In the US, we have stuff everywhere, in Canada, so far, nothing. I haven't figured out the gas stations ...
... 3 pools. None of them Olympic sized, but nice sized. A regular pool, a splash/waterslide pool, and a hot tub that can probably hold 15-20 people easily. The waterslide is 2 stories tall; I don't think I'll take advantage of that this visit ;) .
Okay, now for the rest of the story - the speed limit is 110 kilometers per hour, about 69 mph. It's fast, but not as fast as the speed in parts of the Dakotas - 75 mph.
