The apartment block is located perfectly for the Surfer's experience. Just outside the building is the tram, taxi stand, bus and the centre of the city, Cavill Mall.
The apartments are basically well appointed and the views are spectacular. We had a double bedroom and views over the beach/ coast and the city/ hinterland.
Daily service included is a nice bonus. Enough room for four adults with a lounge and separate dining area, with the main suite including the spa.
Great spot, clean, views to die for and spacious. Ticks all the boxes!

... in time to find that where someone said that they had left my impact drill was in a toolbox in the very bottom of a stillage that was about to be loaded onto the truck going to Melbourne. Recovery was reasonably easy and the other two items also turned up before we were due to leave. It took almost two hours to cleanup the site and to complete the loading of the gear for transport to Melbourne. We then returned to the ...

... along the way. After checking in, went to do laundry, then a tour around the hotel to see what was here. The lagoon is super cool! Has a sandy beach, a pool with a river thing, and a slide (slide was closed though :( ). After moving the laundry into the dryer, spent a while swimming (Well, I did. my wife wasn't interested in swimming tonight).

On the way to grab clothes from the dryer, met a ...

... did get the shopping done after a breakfast at the appropriately named 'Espresso head' (Anthony). I had my poached eggs, flat white and super juice which I was mocked for trying to be healthy! After some shopping in Byron it was time for our drive to Noosa where we had 3 nights booked at the Outrigger resort. On our way we passed through Gold Coast and crossed a 1 hour time zone! First stop at Gold Coast was Burleigh heads, which is an up and coming beach resort. We planned to do ...

          - Huge unsightly buildings/hotels/skyscrapers lining the beach front. Basically, a **** Miami. (Ok, one did actually look pretty cool... Q1 building).

          - The beach front is just lined with McDonalds, tacky souvenir shops and annoying tourists. (Dominos was located much further back from the beach... And it does do crazy cheap tasty pizzas. So actually, it is in itself a mini ...

... there was delicious. Dev had a french style burger with lots of different cheeses, served in lettuce cups rather than a bun. I had a chicken burger which had mango chilli salsa, and was fantastic. We also shared some really crispy salty fries which were almost worth going there for alone! Thank you Retro Campers for the recommendation (they also mentioned a place called Betty Burger in Noosa which we will check out). Back ...
