Week 44 May 30th This next few weeks is all about quality family time for me so there won't be many adventures to report...just good old fashioned family time. Well, today's my first full day of Sydney exporation. My main mission is to find myself a decent backpack (it's going to be well sad getting rid of the old one...I may have to give it a Viking burial at sea, pop it into a small boat, push it out to sea and lob a flame onto it. ... The Batwing Spaceshot and Superman Escape. Bother these rides are totally exhilariating - especially Batman. It blasts you up into the air at 80kms/hr and when you are looking down on Superman, you know you are high up in the air. We had few goes on these rides before we decided to head back to Scooby Doo and to go on the Lethal Wepon. Sadly, both of these rides were closed so we decided to sit down and have some lunch. ... at the hotel. it was delicious. In the gift shop we discovered a book called walter the ******* dog. It was so funny so even though it has little to do with Australia we think we might get it. anyway, tomorow we are flying home. It was a really fun trip. I did spot the girls coming home this morning so looks like they had a fun night. They've been working with horses on polo farms, so obviously hanging out with wealthy locals and have been able to stay in some great apartments and drink free in nice bars through their connections - lucky girls! ... something I had in mind when visiting Australia but there was little else to do. Everyone had been to sea world once in their life. They torture dolphins and force them to do amazing tricks for people. They have some lame theme park rides and water ski show. Shark Cove was OK. Lots of fish and very large sharks swimming about. You can walk downstairs and look at them through the glass. Tomorrow I'm off to Byron Bay on the shuttle bus.
