... very frustrating and we waited 45 minutes for someone to arrive and fearing we would miss our flight to London we were about to leave the van in a parking station when finally an Aussie rep turned up very apologetic but I was frantic not wanting to miss the flight and the heat was intolerable. Not happy at all we explained our disappointment with this company on a number of levels and the guy kindly drove us to the airport. Grateful we lined up to check in ...

... br>After what seemed like a long wait, the Ryanair counters opened (only 10 minutes late) and we checked our bags through with no issues. We had chatted to another man in the queue who hadn't realised the weight limit was so low - he ended up paying 105 euros in excess baggage! We were both thoroughly put off by Ryanair's hostile attitude to their customers as shown by all the notices about their many rules. However, the flight itself was fine

... didn't w*rk *ut.  We ate a mexican chain restaurant then headed back t* the h*stel, wh**e we tried in vain t* find the mythical "h*stel bar," searching all 7 fl**rs.  In the end we decided just t* hit the sack, and we w**e c*mf*rtably asleep by 10PM aft** 36 sleepless h*urs.  Best qu*te *f the day - Jeff, when seeing Westminst** Abbey "I can't believe ancient-ass *************s built this ****!"

... there were so many people on the bridge that it started wobbling, and people would come in large groups standing on either edge to start rocking it. We tried this, but since the bridge was stabilised (it was closed for a year!) it's become far more difficult.

We'd had a couple of recommendations for Monty Python's Spamalot, and good seats for that were available at half price, so we opted for those. ... to read my file. Suddenly, it needs a "converter" to read the file. Even though I used the very same computer to write and save the document, somehow it lost the ability to read it. I blame Paris. So maybe I'll be inspired to go back and write that all out again. But for now, I must move on to the stuff I haven't written yet...

But we had already fallen into a place where we felt like London was a good substitute for home (even though they drive on the other side of the road). ... place to visit. By this time it was late afternoon, and we decided it was time to head home to the flat, we headed up toward Holborn Underground Station, where all heck was breaking loose. It appears that a "suspicious" bag was found in the station, and no one was being let in. Police and fire trucks blaring, Les and I decided it was best to walk in the opposite direction, and surprisingly, walked all the way back to Waterloo station ...

... by a friendly Cornish waiter whose parents were Maltese!) The bread was really good as was the rest of the food. While I wasn't suprised that the food was going to be decent trusting Mei Ha's judgement, I was surprised that this was all British food. Their food scene I think is finally progressing!
