May 31 - Varadero. We left Cienfuegos for Varadero the tourist area for a night just to experience the beaches. It took about 2 + hours from Cienfuegos as most was on side roads thru small towns. Quite a ride. We arrived in
Varadero to another B&B which was across the road from the beach and a great spot for only $30/night per room
and 5$ for breakfast and again $1.50 for a beer…very good ...
... can do this for 2 or three weeks. I'd be bored senseless.
It's 8 months to the day that I flew out to Brazil. Whilst watching the sunset over the beach I couldn't help but reminise on my time. It's been a good 8 months. But it really feels like it's time to head home. Just Havana left to wrap this thing up...
... bar wasn't quite as busy as yesterday but still banging. More of a band rotation than yesterday it still retained one of the same guitarists, and played different songs by the same kinda bands, so it still felt fresh. They finished around 1am. I feel a pattern to my days emerging... I could go explore or at least wander the length of the beach but I just can't be *****. A few days of lazy consistency is really nice.
