    ... hadnt ate so we said our goodbyes and went to Darcys Irish Bar to get an original Horseshoe. I saw the size of one of these horseshoes before ordering so decided to downgrade to the ponyshoe.     ... The skies were so overcast I thought we might be in for another storm, but no just a few sprinkles. Maybe it's smog, with loads of industrial smoke polluting the air.
    The hotel has been refurbished lately, but the area is sad, so I hope there's a public transport system reasonably close to go exploring, as I know Paul won't drive into the city!

I’m not clear on the status of the presidential library; my understanding has always been that presidential libraries holding the archives of presidents only began with Herbert Hoover. The Lincoln family tomb is also in Springfield (no, he’s not buried in Arlington National Cemetery) in a large cemetery and memorial park outside the center of town.
