... The skies were so overcast I thought we might be in for another storm, but no just a few sprinkles. Maybe it's smog, with loads of industrial smoke polluting the air.
The hotel has been refurbished lately, but the area is sad, so I hope there's a public transport system reasonably close to go exploring, as I know Paul won't drive into the city!

... Olive and Litchfield before joining I-55 towards Glenarm. At Glenarm I left the interstate to travel a short distance off Route 66 to view the Sugar Creek Covered Bridge which like Route 66 has been by-passed by a more modern bridge. ... Mini yay. After a few minutes we came across a Walmart. We went in for a shop - found a cable to connect Vicki's iPod to the stereo and went on our merry way again. Getting to the hotel was fairly simple and when we checked in the man at the desk was really helpful telling us about places to eat.
