... I camped in the park overnight, and then continued south toward home and the holidays. I have also been asked why aikket has not been in more of my pictures. My bad. But it is difficult to carry her around the parks, and she just refuses to walk. I did put her on the entrance sign, however. Will try to include her more in the future. ...
Day 7
... die waar wij inzaten.
- Lunch in the Waffle House zeer goed kan smaken, zeker op kosten van onze lieftallige chauffeur!
- we bij de regen in South Carolina de hitte van Florida al veel te snel vergeten waren.
- koude ravioli uit blik echt wel smaakt!
De volgende ochtend was de missie duidelijk: Zo snel mogelijk een lift uit de regen en naar het (terug warmere?) noorden!

Anxiously Preparing
... and into my 'riding' clothes, hitch up the trailer to 'PEARL' and away we go, pedaling as hard as we can to get to our first stop, GALAX, VA...racing against darkness as well as afternoon & evening thunderstorms.
But for now, I think ALL of the planning has been for a great good. We're tired & sleepy and anticipating a good night's sleep....."NOT"......we're too excited about our journey...we can't wait for it to begin!!!!!! ...
Heading North
On Sunday, we packed up and headed North on highway 95 towards South Carolina! We got to Santee State Park around 1PM and set up camp.
Once finished of course we were hungry so we went to the Lone Star BBQ and Mercantile. Really cool place with great BBQ and antiques.

On this the first day of the New Year
... is. We come to the end of 2010 with most of the friends and family we started the year with, even managing to gain a few!
No,nothing of the old year makes me happy to see it go, years come and go all to quickly. Tomorrow morning we will be off again, looking with excitement for what this new year has to bring.
