Last week there was snow on the mountains and the views from the house were fantastic. Also had some brilliant sunsets here as well.

We wanted to do a big hike. So we went to Langdale and decided to tackle the mighty peaks of Rossett Pike, Esk Pike and Bowfell, calculating a nice circular route to encompass these. ... Towering trees hanging over the lake and the grasses, a canoe parked near the edge, and mountains lining the background. After taking in the view, we headed back to the meeting place, talking to the sheep in the valley on the way. I definitely didn't want to leave.
