We've been on a number of different types of train so far. The International train from Berlin to Gdansk was set out in compartments with 6 seats in each, arm rests between the seats, racks above the seats for luggage and space under the seats for more. The carriage was spacious and comfortable, with little tags externally to say which seats were reserved from/to where.

... right - it's your typical railway station suburb!!! Anyway I decided I would walk and definitely catch a taxi back. But when I walked back at 10 pm it was still slightly light and the atmosphere of the city was great - only because it was the first warm day in ages . Hundreds of young people along the river main - it was fabulous ! Could have got some great shots but wasn't game it would have been rude. Loved ...

We met a lovely couple over breakfast who told us how Poland had changed and how poor it used to be. Now it has a fabulous infra structure and is quite modern - only in some of the country towns can you see the remainder of some of the poverty. So we are off to discover some of our ancestors roots today.
