... bad weather as an option so were both a bit disappointed to be experiencing something so Scottish after travelling eight hours to get to it! The ferry trip was brilliant and much more French than I expected it to be. Our wee cabin was really comfy and there's always something quite nice about bobbing about when you're sleeping. I looked up YouTube to watch some videos of ferries bobbing about in the English Channel and it looks quite rough really, I'm just glad ...

There's been thunder and lightning and rain all night and it's still a bit gloomy when we meet for breakfast. The forecast is to clear by about 11am so we will take the van to our first visit today, the Carnac Alignments, and then see how the weather is. Hoping for a bike ride after that. The Carnac Alignments are a series of standing stones that are set in parallel lines. The area is 3kms long and about 50m wide. ...

However, we ...

... last night, so you let it ferment all night then cook in the oven whilst you are having breakfast. The bread is lovely, very moorish.....and you get a little recipe book with it to. Well worth every penny my mum bought mine for me.
We decided to leave Iles de Glenans on the Monday 29th as the winds were changing direction and we wanted to sail to Lorient not motor, so we lifted the anchor about 10ish and set sail. We were able to sail with the main and Genoa up for quite a ...

Benodet- Sainte Marine- River OdetAfter 3 really enjoyable days we left Guilvinec in the afternoon about 4pm just after low tide, we slowly motored out of the harbour so as not to touch the bottom, David was checking the course and I was steering us out as we were going to 'rock hop' to Benodet. This meant we were going to sail from point to point avoiding the rocks under the water. Once we were out of the harbour we put the main up, so much easier with the new system we ...
