We arrived late after a big day of travel. A pretty town rising on both sides from a river with foot and road bridges every 50 meters.

We checked in at the hotel Les Grandes Roches (the big rocks) and discovered that it was a Relais du Silence- a quiet place for relaxation. We tripped into Concarneau for a light lunch and to buy bread, cheese, sliced meats ...

... 8211; this is the very FIRST time I’ve come across someone on a cruise so nasty, negative and well obtuse. So..I referred to him as a 600 pound man – who took up a GREAT deal of space, because no-one wanted to sit by him. His opinions were not winning him friends (in my book). The worst part – his travel companions were of a similar mind….AND he’s from San Jose! I did manage to hear that without cringing. ...
